Overseas Candidate Screening

With more and more applicants applying for positions within the UK, it’s vital that employers not only carry out a UK Standard or Enhanced Criminal Records Check where relevant, but best practice dictates in depth screening for candidates who haven’t always lived in the UK.

As with UK disclosure checks, it’s important to verify your overseas candidates and their credentials to ensure they haven’t concealed adverse information (eg a criminal record) or exaggerated employment in the belief that the details will not be checked.
